What’s the difference between a homebuyer survey and a full structural survey?
weMOVE AI
A homebuyer survey (Level 2) covers the overall condition and flags issues. A full structural survey (Level 3) is more detailed — ideal for older or unusual properties. For most first-time buyers, Level 2 is a solid choice unless the building is pre-1900 or has had significant alterations.
My property is from 1920. Which should I get?
weMOVE AI
For a 1920s property, I’d recommend a Level 3 survey. It’ll check for damp, subsidence, and original features that may need work. Expect to pay £500–£900 depending on your area.
